Valentine's Workshop
Getting out fun papers, colorful markers, glue, and my paper cutter is a perfect complement to the reading and writing I do all week. I spent about an hour and a half this morning sitting on the floor of "The Sunflower Room" (that's our second bedroom) surrounded by refreshingly creative art supplies. Mmmm...
I made 11 cards in all: 9 Valentine's Cards plus a couple of birthday cards for two special ladies. If you are not a birthday girl in the next week or so but you are an immediate family member (think a parent, grandparent, sister, or brother), you will be the lucky recipient of one of these special Valentine's cards. Check your mailbox!!! Have fun guessing which one has your name on it...
HOW-TO:
I like these cards because they are very easy to make. Several years ago, I purchased 1 lb. of paper pieces (squares of various sizes) from a craft store to make a scrapbook for Stephen. I still have this paper and find it very useful for card making.
Supplies:
paper (see note above)
heart stamp
ink pad(s) (I used a red and a purple)
assorted red, pink, and white cards with envelopes
glue stick
design scissors (optional)
*All of these supplies are available at a craft store. I'm a big fan of Michaels, though the one in Ann Arbor doesn't seem to supply as much as the one in CT.
